Ardnamurchan AD/06:22 Paul Launois Release Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Always quick to sell out, Ardnamurchan receives ten Champagne casks from Paul Launois each year and fills them for this annual release. High strength but very approachable, it presents a more stereotypically Highland profile, in particular, ripe pear and apple combined with pastries and vanilla that both fill out and cream up the palate (the spirit was initially aged in x Bourbon barrels). Pepper and brine are salient on the finish, which seems to be a trademark of the distillate - as is the vivacious tang. Easily the more graceful Ardnamurchan in the 2022 line up, it's also the most transparent of the collection with no peat to conceal the malt. 57.5% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. 2661 bottles worldwide.
