One in a series of gins from Applewood, released in conjunction with "Gins of Life".
Described as a "hearty, dark coloured Gin for the colder weather", this edition is produced from a botanical recipe incorporating Juniper Berries, Coriander Seed, Black Cardamom, Charred Orange Peel, Charred French Oak, Cocoa Nibs, Cassia Bark, Native Pepperberries, Ginger Root, Roasted Almonds, Vanilla and Oolong Tea along with a special dose of colour derived from fermented grapes. Tasting note: Unusual rusty autumn leaf brown tinge is also dull-copper like. Issues moderate aromas of juniper, semi-ripe plum, herbal tea and peppermint. Crisp, light bodied delivery offers delicately bitter peel, pepper and tea leaf flavours through the juniper. Pulls up dry, brisk, understated, referencing mulled wine in the final stages. 43% Alc./Vol.
