Sambuca is an old Italian favourite, traditionally served flaming with three coffee beans floating on top. In the past few years its popularity has grown out of Italian restaurants to become the shooter of choice in style bars and clubs around the country. This version offers a subtle coffee flavour complimenting the traditional sambuca base. 38% Alc./Vol.

Other reviews... Mahogany/chestnut brown color. Intensely coffee-like and toasty in the stunning opening aromatic rush; aeration brings out more of the anise. Entry is coffee bittersweet and almost cocoa-like, but with enough herbaceousness to keep a sambuca profile intact; delicious in mid palate as the coffee bean concentration grows into a major factor that does finally overtake the sambuca/anise feature in the finish, but what a classy, elegant, integrated ride. Truly luscious.
