Angostura 5 Year Old Rum (700ml)

The five and seven year old represent the value stakes in an all-rounded Angostura line-up. Initially designed for use in classic mixers and cocktails, unexpectedly they possess excellent balance and luscious textures associated with higher end sprits, making them easily enjoyed as a standalone sippers. Comprised of blended rums of five to eight years old, the '5 year old' is the lively expression in a midst of smooth operators, offering elements of fruitiness and ultimately, great versatility.

Tasting note: Straw colour with pale gold hue. The nose is at first subdued, but as the glass warms, mouthwatering aromas of dried coconut, raisins and brown sugar are released. The palate is sensual with superb balance and an almost creamy mouhtfeel, offering flavours of cola, liquorice allsorts, spice and pistachio nuts. Cedary oak aftertaste begins to dry, with subtle vanilla and brandy cream fade that lasts long in the mouth. Delicious! 40% Alc./Vol.
