2022 Varney Wines Chardonnay - Last Stocks

Wild fermented in seasoned French oak barriques followed by 6 months maturation with frequent lees stirring. Brilliant pale straw colour with highlights of green around the edges and a watery hue. Blossoming out of the glass with plenty of intensity are white peach, ripe nectarine and dried honey aromas followed by hints of crème brulee, citrusy nougat and spice notes. Rich and textural the palate has a concentrated core of fleshy white peach and nectarine fruits which overlay a cream brulee, dried honey and spicy nougat background. Concludes long, creamy and moreish.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
