2022 Shadowfax Macedon Ranges Chardonnay

Fermented and matured in French oak hogsheads (22% new) for 11 months. Brilliant pale straw colour with distinct highlights of green around the edges and a watery hue. Ripe peach and apricot scents fill the nostrils with some honeycomb, nougat, cashew and citrus ensuing. The refined palate carries mid weighted flavours of peach and nectarine over bees wax, subtle lemon butter and spice. Subtlety creamy in its texture it finishes with good freshness, length and elegance.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
