2022 Scotchmans Hill Pinot Noir

Fermented with 15% whole bunches and matured in new to 4 year old French oak barriques for 12 months. Semi translucent dark red colour with black shaded edges and a bright red hue. Perfumed like aromas of violet, red to dark cherry, strawberry and subtle anise stream out of the glass followed by some dried herb, forest floor and spicy cedar notes. Delicious dark cherry and strawberry fruits are layered across the palate with a supple feel. Spicy vanillin cedar, dried herb and forest floor characters lie underneath. Velvety tannins with a nicely fleshed conclusion of medium length.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
