2022 Fraser Gallop Estate Cabernet Merlot

A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 6% Petit Verdot matured for 9 months in used French oak.
Midnight black heart with a bright red to dark red hue. Bouncing out of the glass are red plum and currant scents which are complimented by some red liquorice, dusty vanillin cedar and sweet herb notes. Delicious juicy red currant and mulberry fruits are framed by a sturdy tannin structure which lends a chalky feel across the back half. Infusions of bay leaf, dusty earth and spice are also present. Bright acidity with a youthful mid length finish.
