Dense black as night heart with a dark red black tinged hue. Aromas of blackcurrant and liquorice fill the nostrils with some black olive, smoky cedar and spicy tobacco notes also evident. Rich blackcurrant fruits carry good flesh over a back drop of liquorice, smoked tobacco, vanillin cedar and spicy black olive characters. Medium to full bodied it has a sturdy tannin structure which firms up a touch on what is otherwise a generous finish.
