2022 Alex Moreau Bourgogne Passetoutgrain
Significant changes have taken place at the estate previously known as Bernard Moreau, as brothers Alex and Benoît have divided the domaine and now run separate operations. Starting with the 2021 vintage, the estate has now been renamed Domaine Alex Moreau in recognition of Alex's three decades of dedication to the family venture.

A ripe and peppery nose of black cherry leads to rich, seductive and caressing flavors that possess a juicy mouthfeel that contrasts with the mildly rustic and sneaky long finish. To enjoy young for its fresh fruit and refreshing character. Drink through 2025+.

The 2022 Bourgogne Passetoutgrains is a blend of one-third Gamay and two-thirds Pinot Noir that is a representation of the vineyard. It has a pure, enticing bouquet with lovely blueberry and cassis scents. The palate is very well-balanced with a harmonious entry. The Pinot leads the way, and, you know, this might be the finest Passetoutgrain I've tasted in Burgundy this vintage. Drink 2024-2028.

Neal Martin - Vinous
The rows start with gamay plants with the final third in pinot. Raised in wood after gentle extraction. This is the first time I have tasted this cuvée which was only brought out because it is the final vintage of the contract. All destemmed. A fine mid purple colour with quite an elegant nose for this appellation. Vibrant on the palate, tamed acidity, and fair length. Drink from 2025-2027.
