2021 Yalumba The Tri-Centenary Ancestor Vine Grenache

Produced from bush vines planted in 1889. Semi translucent bright red core with a light red hue. Engulfing the olfactory senses are penetrating aromas of red to dark raspberries, dark cherries and red liquorice with some vanillin spice, confectionary and delicate pepper notes also evident. Rich, seductive and silky the palate is awash with succulent dark raspberry, ripe cherry and liquorice fruits which overlay a spicy back drop of vanillin confectionary, earth and peppered clove nuances. Velvet smooth tannins boasting exceptional power and depth. Concludes long, lusciously fruited and plush.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
