Matured in new and seasoned French oak barrels for 12 months. Super saturated inky black in colour showing paint like cling to the walls of the glass with an equally dense inky black dark purple hue. Pronounced ripe morello to black cherry and liquorice aromatics are followed by vanillin oak, scorched earth and pepper. Rich, bold and lusciously textured black cherry, liquorice and morello cherry fruits engulf the palate backed by a robust, muscular like tannin structure. Bright youthful acidity with vanillin oak, earth and blackpepper characters ensuing. Excellent power with a long stern yet opulently fruited finish.
