2021 Penley Estate Tolmer Cabernet Sauvignon

Superb depth of colour featuring an impenetrable inky black heart and a very deep dark red black hue. Classic Coonawarra aromas of blackcurrant, liquorice, cigar box and black olive drift from the glass interweaving with earth and bay leaf notes along the way. Rich blackcurrant and ripe mulberry fruits are underscored by a firm yet integrated tannin structure. Notions of vanillin cedar, tobacco, earthy black olive and spicy bay leaf evolve across the back half. Excellent concentration with a ripe, chewy mouthfeel. Dry, slightly chalky medium to long conclusion.
