2021 Irvine Altitude Merlot

Very dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Pronounced ripe dark to black plum and liquorice aromas fill the nostrils with some toasty vanillin cedar, earth and mint notes also evident. Rich and weighty, the lusciously textured palate is engulfed with black plum and liquorice fruit which melds into a toasty vanillin cedar, earth and spicy mint back drop. A sturdy tannin structure imparts a gentle chalky feel onto what is otherwise a well fleshed finish.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
