2020 Montalto Pennon Hill Pinot Noir

Matured in French oak barriques and puncheons (15% new) for a period of 9 months. Semi translucent bright red colour with a light crimson hue. A lifted bouquet of dark cherries and anise greets the nostrils with subtle violet scents, spicy cedar, forest floor and dried herbs ensuing. Supple and possessing ample richness, the savoury palate is blessed with dark cherry, strawberry, forest floor, spicy cedar, subtle anise and dried herb flavours. Silky smooth tannins, nicely balanced with an excellent power wave and long conclusion.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
