Impenetrable inky black in colour with a very deep bright dark red black hue. Nosing reveals morello cherry, liquorice and graphite like scents followed by some toasty oak and pepper. Rich and robust, ripe morello cherry and liquorice fruits are framed by a stern tannin structure which lends a grippy feel to the finish. Dark plum, subtle earthy graphite and spice characters are also apparent. Bright youthful acidity with a dry and tightly compacted aftertaste.
