2019 Matteo Correggia Roero Nebbiolo

A 100% Nebbiolo that has all of varieties classic floral aromatics, vibrant red fruits and lively acidity traits but is both more affordable and approachable on release than its Barolo and Barbaresco neighbours.
Dark red in colour with black shaded edges and a light red hue. A fragrant mix of red cherry, red currant and subtle rose petal scents emanate from the glass with some light earth, dried herb and spice notes ensuing. Delicious red currant and red cherry fruits are underpinned by a vibrant vein of fresh acidity. Notions of earth, dried herbs and spicy tobacco also chime in. Muscular, slightly grippy tannins are nonetheless well integrated. Concludes with a long, bright and savoury red fruited aftertaste.
