Aged for 18 months in a blend of French and American oak hogsheads. Totally opaque midnight black core with a dark red black tinged hue. Sailing through the olfactory senses are aromas of liquorice, blackberry and black cherry which are intermeshed with toasty vanillin oak and peppered earth notes. Rich liquorice, black cherry and blackberry fruits are featured across the medium to full bodied palate with toasty vanillin oak, earth and peppered dried meat characters lying underneath. Slightly muscular like tannin structure. Long peppery scorched earth like conclusion.
