2019 M.Chapoutier La Ciboise Luberon

A delicious blend of Grenache Noir and Syrah aged for 6 months in concrete vats. Opaque dark red black in colour with a dark red hue. Fragrant provincial herb laced scents of black raspberry and liquorice rise from the glass trailed by notions of incense, light scorched earth and pepper. Light to medium weight but with no shortage of flavour, the palate sees rich dark to black raspberry and liquorice fruits take on a fleshy feel over a back drop of incense infusions, subtle scorched earth and spicy pepper nuances. Finishes with good freshness, polished tannins and a juicy yet savoury aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
