2019 Il Macchione Vino Nobile di Montepulciano

Deep dark red core with black shaded edges and a dark red hue. Evolving out of the glass are spicy red to dark currant aromas which are intermeshed with red cherry, dried herb, earthy tobacco and subtle balsamic notes. Mid weighted, the elegant palate features red currant and red cherry flavours which meld into a dried herb, earthy tobacco and spice back drop. Rustic feel with bright acidity and slightly chalky tannins. Finishes a touch grippy, earthy and spicy.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
