100% Syrah sourced from 85 year old vines and matured for 18 months in oak barrels. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red black tinged hue. Elevated black raspberry and liquorice aromas combine with some ripe blackberry, scorched earth, provincial herb and peppered meat notes. Delicious black raspberry, liquorice and black cherry fruits carry a juicy feel over a back drop of scorched earth, dried herbs and peppered meats. Smooth and supple mid palate with gently chewy tannins leading into a long generous yet refined finish that’s laced with peppered earth characters.
