2018 Vina Cobos Felino Cabernet Sauvignon

Aged in American oak barrels (10% new) for 8 months, this ripe, full bodied Cabernet shows a definite Californian influence. Magnificent inky black colour with a deep dark red black hue. Heady blackcurrant, ripe black cherry and liquorice aromas are backed by toasty vanillin oak, hints of graphite and spice. Full in body the palate is flush with rich blackcurrant, liquorice and black cherry fruits which have an opulent feel. Outstanding concentration, density and power with elements of vanillin cedar, subtle earthy tobacco characters and spicy dried herbs sitting underneath. Ripe chewy tannins provide ample structure. Long, lavish conclusion. A rich gob smacking Cabernet.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.

The nose shows ripe-currant, walnut and violet character. Medium to full body, firm and chewy tannins and a hazelnut undertone to the dark fruit. Always a go-to cabernet sauvignon. Drink or hold.
