This is the baby brother to Tyrrell’s famous Vat 47 Chardonnay. Matured in new and older French oak barriques on yeast lees for 8 months.
Brilliant very pale straw colour with a distinctive tinge of green around the edges and a watery hue. Aromas of nectarine and citrus meet up with faint dried honey, oily toast like characters and spice. Rich white peach, dried honey and nectarine flavours have a creamy feel with oily toast and spice characters emerging in the background. Finishes dry and fresh with a medium to long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
