For the fifth or sixth year in a row… we’ve lost count… this wine has yet again received a 99 point rating from Italian wine critic Luca Maroni.
Pitch black in colour with a deep dark purple hue. Lush black cherry, plum and liquorice aromas mix with earthy vanillin cedar and spicy herb notes. Medium to full bodied the palate is layered with opulent dark plum, morello cherry and liquorice flavours which are swamped by medium toasted vanillin oak. Some earth and cinnamon characters are also present. Polished tannins with a lingering vanillin oak aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
