Dark red in colour with subtle black tinged edges and a semi translucent dark red hue. Perfumed violet top notes meld into anise, black cherry and plum scents with some toasty cedar and spice also present. Quite ripe and juicy the mid weighted palate features flavours of anise, black cherry and black plum. Some smoky cedar and spicy dried herb characters lie underneath. Fleshy mouthfeel with fine grained tannins and a medium length conclusion.
