Aged in 25% new American oak for 18 months. Pitch black in colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Heady ripe blackcurrant scents are matched with black cherry, toasty oak, black olive and spicy tobacco notes. Rich, full and lush, cassis, plum and aniseed flavours morph into toasty vanillin oak, dried herbs and spice. Ripe chewy mouthfeel with velvety yet sturdily built tannins. Concludes long and lavish with ample amounts of toasty vanillin oak shining through.
