2018 Cantina Santadi Carignano del Sulcis Grotta Rosso

Dark red core with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Nosing offers up a mix of morello cherry, rhubarb and dried cherry scents followed by dusty earth, vanillin spice and dried herbs. Ripe morello and dried cherry flavours cast a fleshy feel across the mid weighted palate with dried herb, earth and spicy tobacco elements lying on the other side. Slightly chewy tannins with a dried herb infused finish.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
