2017 Warrabilla Single Vineyard Rutherglen Shiraz

This is the second release of this wine with fruit sourced from a vineyard to the East of the Rutherglen township. Impenetrable pitch black core with a deep bright dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced ripe Morello and black cherry aromas intermix with liquorice, vanillin oak, hints of fennel and pepper. Bold and rich the palate is filled with ripe black and Morello cherry flavours followed by some liquorice, vanillin cedar, graphite, subtle black olive and blackpepper infusions. Structured finish with robust, firmly built tannins and fresh acidity. Excellent length with a long blackpepper laced aftertaste of black fruits and black olive.
