Matured for 10 months in French oak hogsheads. Semi translucent dark red colour with a light red hue. Nosing shows some perfumed violet like top notes followed by ripe cherry, strawberry, fresh herb, forest floor, lightly toasted cedar and spice notes. Lively red to dark cherry and strawberry fruits show plenty of drive and are supple in their feel with elements of earth, dried herbs and spicy lightly toasted cedar sitting in the background. Bright balanced acidity with velvety tannins and a long savoury aftertaste.
