2017 Mrs Q Sangiovese

Deep dark red black tinged colour with a dark red hue. Lifted ripe dark cherry aromas intermingle with plum, earth and spice notes. This is a rich and very full bodied Sangiovese that sees the palate swamped with juicy dark to black cherry and liquorice fruit which is underpinned by earthy tones and concludes spicy. Ripe, slightly chalky tannins and nicely balanced acidity lead into a dryish yet succulent aftertaste that proves quite savoury.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.

A versatile well managed sangiovese, equipped for vigourous drinking on the cooler side. Black cherry and a smudge of anise are frisked across the mouth by an edge of tannin. Black olive, mint and a litany of herbal references, too. This is plenty vibrant and convincing. Drink by 2022.
