2017 Massena The Surly Muse Viognier Marsanne

A blend of 60% Viognier and 40% Marsanne. The Viognier was picked early to preserve its natural acidity and the Marsanne was picked around 4 weeks later to add riper fruit flavours. Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Lifted apricot, peach and honeysuckle scents are followed by some citrus and spice. Fresh with a vibrant feel, flavours of peaches and citrus meld into subtle honeysuckle characters with traces of apricot and spice on the dry finish. Quite light and elegant with crisp acidity. Aftertaste of fresh peaches, light apricot and citrusy mineral characters.
