Matured in French oak, 15% new, for 10 months. Totally opaque black core with a deep dark purple black tinged hue. Nosing offers up spicy dark plum, ripe blueberry and liquorice aromas over vanillin cedar and spice. Medium to full bodied, juicy and fleshy the palate features rich dark plum, liquorice and subtle blueberry flavours over spicy vanillin cedar with some pepperiness on the finish. Youthful fresh acidity, silky tannins and good length on the juicy dark fruited aftertaste.
