2017 Gapsted Wines Limited Release Saperavi

Totally opaque midnight black core with a dark red black tinged hue. Intense ripe blackberry and liquorice aromas are trailed by vanillin oak, dark chocolate, plum and spice. Rich and fleshy the palate is filled with blackberry, liquorice and dark plum fruits which overlay a back drop of dark chocolate, prominent toasty vanillin oak and spicy earth. Dryish finish with a sturdy tannin structure and medium length aftertaste.
