Impenetrable inky black core with a very deep dark red black hue. Ripe blackberry, black cherry and liquorice aromas jump out of the glass followed by earthy vanillin oak and spicy incense notes. On the palate, the richly textured fruit is overwhelmed by toasty vanillin oak with traces of earth and spice also present. Chewy ripe tannins with a toasty vanillin oak dominated aftertaste.
