2016 Rockburn Pinot Noir

Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Perfumed scents of violets, ripe cherries and dark strawberries laced with anise blossom from the glass underpinned by forest floor, toasty cedar and spice. Deeply fruited spicy dark cherry flavours along with some dark plum and traces of anise decorate the palate with an undercard of smoky cedar, forest floor and light dried herbs. Polished but structured tannins. Good power wave with a medium to long spicy dark cherry, plum, anise, forest floor, toasty cedar and spicy dried herb aftertaste.
