2016 Il Palazzo Chianti

Deep dark red core with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Leathery top notes overlay sour cherry, fresh herb, earth and spice notes. The spicy medium weight palate shows a bit more fruit with flavours of red currants melding into earth, leather and dried herbs. Finishes very spicy with bright acidity. Dryish and slightly tannic with a modest aftertaste.
