2016 Eden Road The Long Road Chardonnay

Matured for 12 months in French oak of which 20% was new. Brilliant pale straw colour with a greenish tinged outskirts and watery hue. Lifted peach and apricot aromas are overlaid by dried honey followed by some cashew and spicy nougat. Rich and creamy in the mouth with notions of butterscotch, flavours of ripe pears, honeycomb, cashew, nougat and spice are also evident. Clean dry finish with sufficient acidity to keep everything in balance. Concludes with an aftertaste of ripe pears, honeycomb, light butterscotch, nougat and subtle spicy cashew.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
