2016 Cullen Diana Madeline Cabernets

Certified organic the 2016 Diana Madeline is a blend of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, 1% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot aged for 14 months in French barriques, two thirds of which are new.
Totally opaque black dark red colour with a bright dark red hue. A perfumed nose of red currant, mulberry and violets tinged with hints of blueberry is followed by discreet cedary tobacco characters and faint bay leaf notes. Still youthful the palate possesses rich red to blackcurrant flavours and traces of blueberry over pencilly vanillin cedar, subtle fresh herbs, light tobacco and spice. Medium bodied and elegant in structure it finishes with dry grainy tannins that provide a great framework. Long red to blackcurrant, mulberry, vanillin cedar, subtle tobacco, fresh herb and spice aftertaste.
Will develop into a very elegant and refined red with 10-15 years in the cellar.
