2016 Cullen Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

Certified organic this is a blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon and 16% Merlot matured in French oak (22% new) for 17 months. Opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Aromas of red currants and mulberries meld into tobacco and dusty vanillin cedar followed by spice end notes. Medium bodied and elegant yet filled with richness from the red currant, blackcurrant and mulberry fruits which sit atop a back drop of cedary tobacco characters. Spicy finish with dryish, slightly chalky tannins provide some grip. Long spicy ripe red currant, mulberry and cedary tobacco aftertaste.
