2016 Bird in Hand Shiraz

Impenetrable black dark purple core with a deep bright dark purple hue. Scents of ripe blackberries, liquorice and dark plum unfold from the glass underpinned by vanillin cedar, pepper and spice. The palate is rich and plush yet structured and refined all at once delivering generous ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum flavours which are underscored by spicy vanillin cedar and pepper. There’s a sturdy underbelly to the velvet smooth tannins. Excellent drive with a long spicy blackberry, liquorice, dark plum, vanillin cedar and pepper aftertaste. A top notch Adelaide Hills Shiraz that perfectly balances intensity with finesse.
