2015 Tenuta Montanello Barolo Castiglione Falletto

Deep dark red core with tinges of black to the edges and a light reddy brick red hue. A touch subdued the nose reveals spicy red cherry and rose petal aromatics which are intertwined with subtlety scorched earth and dried herb notes. More brash and forthcoming the palate has flavours of rich dark cherries over a back drop of dried herbs, earth and plenty of spice. Dryish finish with stern tannins imparting some grip. Excellent length with a chewy medium to long aftertaste.
