2015 Seppelt Chalambar Shiraz

This still youthful Chalambar harnesses the juicy richness of Heathcote and combines it with the elegant spicy fruit of the Grampians. Outstanding totally opaque inky black core with a deep bright dark purple black tinged hue. Pronounced freshly crushed blackberry and dark plum aromas combine with some liquorice overlaying spicy vanillin oak and a hint of dried meats. Medium to full bodied the youthful palate boasts tremendous richness with spicy ripe blackberry, dark plum, dark cherry and liquorice flavours evolving over lightly toasted vanillin oak and spice. The fruits opulence carried by a finely grained yet structured framework of tannins. Youthful juicy mouthfeel with excellent length and a long aftertaste of freshly crushed blackberries, dark plums, liquorice, toasty vanillin oak and spice.
