2015 Red Edge Heathcote Shiraz

Matured for 21 months in 2 year old French oak barriques. Impenetrable black core with a very deep dark red black hue. Pronounced aniseed top notes intermingle with ripe black cherry, blackberry, smoky vanillin cedar, subtle earth and blackpepper notes. Full bodied, rich and seductive the palate is awash with flavours of aniseed, luscious black cherry and blackberry backed by a robust tannin structure which imparts some grip on the long finish. Scorched earth, spicy vanillin cedar and a burst of blackpepper follow on. Long chewy aniseed and black fruit aftertaste. A rich, dense and firmly structured Heathcote Shiraz.
