2015 Nautilus Chardonnay

The wine was entirely barrel fermented in French oak barriques (20% new) using indigenous yeast. A period of lees stirring post ferment has added a textural element to the palate.Brilliant straw colour with flecks of green around the outskirts and a very pale straw hue. Richly scented the nose offers up ripe peach, honeycomb and light butterscotch top notes that sit over toasty oak, cashew and spicy nougat. The palate delivers terrific richness with mouthfilling flavours of ripe peaches and apricots intermixed with honeycomb over a back drop of cashew, nougat and spice. Creamy textural feel finishing with good freshness. Long aftertaste of ripe peaches, apricots, honeycomb and spicy nougat. A rich textured Chardonnay with a refreshingly long finish.

Drink over the next 4-5 years.
