2015 Moores Hill Pinot Noir
Semi translucent dark red colour with a crimson red hue. Fragrant scents of violets, dark cherries, strawberries and subtle anise blossom from the glass with spicy cedar end notes. Light to medium bodied the palate dishes up flavours of ripe dark cherries and plums laced with anise over some toasty oak concluding with a spicy finish and velvety tannins. Aftertaste of spicy dark cherries, plums, anise and toasty oak.
Cellar 3-4 years.
Alc 13.5%
Other Reviews….
Foresty red and black berries with plenty of spice and an assertive churn of tannin. This is an imposing pinot noir; and by imposing read impressive. It's juicy, fragrant, doesn't sit too dark or weighty but reeks of authority. There's a bit of crackle and crunch to this; it's excellent. Drink by 2025.
