2015 Fattoria di Bagnolo Chianti Colli Fiorentini

Excellent depth of colour for a Chianti displaying an opaque dark red black core with a vibrant dark red hue. Still very youthful, the nose offers up scents of inky freshly crushed ripe berries and a trace of liquorice laced with earthy dried herb characters and ensuing spicy cedar. Medium bodied and showing good richness the palate dishes up ripe dark fruit flavours including a touch of liquorice which meld into some earthy leather and spicy cedar characters. Finishes dry with some inkiness. Slightly chalky but balanced tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of spicy dark cherries, earthy leather characters and spicy cedar.
Cellar this youthful Chianti for 3-4 years plus.
