2014 Wirra Wirra Scrubby Rise Shiraz Cabernet Petit Verdot

A blend of 58% Shiraz, 35% Cabernet and 7% Petit Verdot with a portion of the wine undergoing maturation in seasoned French and American oak before blending. Opaque black dark red colour with a dark crimson red hue. Vibrant freshly crushed berry aromas combine with liquorice, inky earth like characters and spice. Soft and juicy the palate dishes up flavours of blackberries, blackcurrant and liquorice over some inkiness and spicy earth with a lick of drying tannin on the finish providing some structure. Aftertaste of freshly crushed berry fruits, liquorice, inky earth and spice. A soft, fruity red with plenty of immediate appeal.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
