2014 Cirillo Single Vineyard Shiraz

Matured in seasoned French and American oak for 12 months. Totally opaque inky black core with a dark purple red hue. Aromas of blackberry and liquorice are overlaid by some perfumed violet and clove notes with vanillin cedar and spicy earth following on. Medium weight and supplely textured the palate has succulent fruit flavours of blackberries and liquorice over a backdrop of violet infusions, vanillin cedar and spice. Silky smooth tannins. Good depth with a long savoury aftertaste of blackberries, liquorice, violet infusions, dried herbs and spicy vanillin cedar.
Cellar 4-5 years.
