2014 Casa Freschi La Signorina

A blend of 90% Riesling, 6% Chardonnay and 4% Gewurztraminer 100% barrel fermented using wild yeasts and matured for 8 months in seasoned French oak barriques. Bright straw colour with a hint of green to the edges and a watery hue. Aromas of limes and citrus are subtlety overlaid with steely kerosene like notes followed by hints of toast and spicy orange. On the palate there’s good volume to the lime juice and citrus fruits which overlay a back drop of wet steel, subtle oily kerosene characters and light spice. Finishes dry with zesty acidity and a long aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
