2013 Villa Antinori Riserva Chianti Classico

Opaque dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Subtle rose petal top notes overlay dark cherries and blackcurrant with earthy cedar, dried herbs and spice following on. Medium bodied, savoury and elegant the palate has flavours of spicy dark cherries and blackcurrant infused with dried herbs sitting over earthy leather elements and spicy old cedar. Dryish finish with fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of spicy dark cherries, blackcurrant, dried herbs, earthy old cedar and traces of leather.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
